Viktor Adorjan

Viktor Adorján (1987) has been attracted to advanced technologies since his childhood. This led him to join motorsport operations and the automotive industry but he has also worked for companies in the field of sports marketing, consumer electronics, mobile applications and financial service providers.

His brand experience include Mercedes-Benz, BMW, MINI, Canon, NNG/iGo Navigation, Dension, FIA WTCC race driver Norbert Michelisz, Vodafone, Groupama, Infiniti, Lexus.

Viktor had worked in corporate communications and public affairs roles before taking a broader approach to management by completing MBA studies. He is currently looking for full time or project-based management opportunities globally.

PR manager

Mercedes-Benz Hungary, 2012-2014

Re-established the PR and corporate communications function within the department while working in close cooperation with the marketing managers of the passenger cars, vans, trucks aftersales business units. Reviewed and optimized the budget allocation, the management of the demo car fleet, media monitoring, agency and supplier relations, re-negotiated several major contracts with corporate entities, suppliers, partners and sponsored parties.

Received positive feedback from external parties and the sales department for responsiveness and efforts, increased the AVE of proactive communication, developed self-started initiatives to support sales campaigns and introduced new technologies like Intelligent Drive or the Mercedes-AMG sub-brands. Represented the company at various stakeholders, including the Hungarian Vehicle Importers Association (MGE) and other industrial trusts.

Project highlights were large activities in matrix organizations, like the planning and execution of the Hungarian press test drives of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222) and E-Class (featured as Best Practice in the DCAA region), concept of local activities concerning DTM’s return to Hungary and the Formula 1 Hungarian Grand Prix, sponsorship of the Hungarian Handball Federation.

Cafe Communications (Budapest), 2011-2012

Responsible for the overall management of the BMW Group Hungary account including consultancy, contract negotiations, day-to-day operation with appropriate time management and level of seniority. Tasks featured cooperation with subcontractors, tactical planning, event management, media monitoring, international travel coordination, media relations.

Additional clients: NNG (iGo Navigation), Canon, Vodafone Raise Your Game Weekend (major outdoor event in Budapest featuring Jenson Button and McLaren Mercedes).

Dension Audio Systems, 2010-2011

Advised the CEO of the company on the direction of the sponsorship campaign built around Norbert Michelisz in the FIA World Touring Car Championship. Initiated and carried out a complete rebranding of the project in line with the B2C product line while also supported the work of the business development managers at various events in Europe and Asia. Set up and managed communication channels that served various stakeholders within and outside the company.

Responsible for the external communications of Proex Motorsport, champion of the 2006 Hungarian Renault Clio Cup. This included press release creation, race weekend and partner event support, online and social media communication, B2B communication support, advisory.

General editor and administrator of the Hungarian website specialized in computer racing simulations called Hungarian SimWorld. The main tasks included game review writings, daily updates in the news column, forum management, international negotiations.

Freelance writer mainly for Hungarian online and print titles including A5.hu, Index.hu, Dunaújvárosi Hírlap, in the field of motorsports, cars, marketing, technology and general news.
