The Mercedes-Benz brand and the notion of excellence have intertwined with each other. The vehicles manufactured by the Brand with a Star are leading on the fields of engineering innovation, safety and environmental developments, design and assembly quality. To honor the spirit of excellence, Daimler is supporting various forms of sport, cultural, scientific and social projects.
Production started last year in Mercedes-Benz’s Kecskemét plant, where tens of thousands World Class Mercedes-Benz B-Class passenger cars had been manufactured by the end of 2012. The first 50 locally assembled units received serial numbers and special stitching with national colors on the steering wheels. One of these special cars is going to be used by the Hungarian Handball Federation.
The support provided for Hungarian handball is another pillar in Mercedes-Benz’s local commitments. Beside other engagements, the company has backed the International Children Safety Service, the Early Intervention Center Budapest and also launched Daimler’s Mobile Kids road safety initiative for children in 2012. The company has supported the Prima Primissima Award in cooperation with the Pappas Group and has also cooperated with Moholy-Nagy University of Arts & Design for several years.
